AI-Powered Analytics Platform

The AI-powered platform incorporates a security-by-design architecture that aggregates, analyzes and organizes claim, Electronic Health Record and connected device data for Precision Public Health and to ensure that patients can receive - and payers, healthcare and government organizations can deliver - safer and more cost-effective healthcare services.

During the pandemic, under contract with the Department of Defense Joint AI Center, the Humetrix platform analyzed a Humetrix-designed cohort of 20 million individuals covered by Medicare by analyzing over 100 million Medicare claim lines each week for 18 months.

Using various machine learning technologies, a set of predictive models were built and used to produce a risk score for severe COVID-19 for each member of this cohort¹. At a population-level, differences in severe disease risk scores were then mapped by zip code for the entire country and updated weekly on a digital dashboard. These risk analyses and population health mapping helped the military's pandemic response by guiding the deployment of personnel, supplies and vaccines to prioritize higher risk areas.

The platform was also used to study Covid-19 mRNA Vaccine effectiveness² by monitoring six million doubly vaccinated Medicare beneficiaries which provided the first large scale U.S. evidence of early waning immunity after three to four months.
