In just two days, I will be one of thousands of people heading to New Orleans for HIMSS13 – the world’s largest conference devoted solely to healthcare information technology. And, like most attendees, I’m trying to find a way to be in three places at once so I can attend all of the meetings, exhibits, interviews and sessions that I’ve committed to.
With all of the exciting things planned for the week, the thing I am most looking forward to is the first live demonstration of iBlueButton for Android phones, which will take place in the Intel booth (#940) during the show. This new release allows Android users of iBlueButton to join iOS users in accessing their medical records anytime, anywhere and securely transmitting them to their physician, at the point of care. Extending this ability to exchange critical health information to more consumers is so important because it helps improve patient safety and reduces costs associated with unnecessary procedures.
We are thrilled to be working with Intel on this effort and look forward to joining them in many live and virtual healthcare-related events across the world throughout 2013. To learn more about the benefits associated with iBlueButton and other patient-driven mobile solutions, read my recent post on the Intel Healthcare Community blog.
To find out more about iBlueButton mobile apps for Intel Atom-based Android phones, read today’s press release or stop by Intel’s booth #940 during HIMSS.
Download the iOS iBlueButton apps for consumers and physicians at iTunes or the Android app for consumers at the Google Play store. iBlueButton Professional will be available on Android tablets in the near future.
