SOS QR and TENSIO at Health 2.0 Annual Fall Conference
Dr. Bettina Experton to Speak on Sept 20: The New Landscape for Data Integration and Access
Del Mar, Calif., September 26, 2016 - Humetrix will participate in the upcoming Health 2.0 Annual Fall Conference, showcasing its suite of mHealth platforms in Booth #400: iBlueButton for mobile-based health record access and exchange; TENSIO™ for managing high blood pressure; and the multi language SOS QR for emergency care and personal safety. These mobile platforms, offered worldwide to consumers, enterprises and government agencies, empower patients to manage and take control of their own healthcare by putting actionable health information at their finger tips and on their own devices. Health 2.0 takes place September 25-28 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
On September 20, Humetrix CEO, Dr. Bettina Experton will participate on the panel, The New Landscape for Data Integration and Access, and demonstrate the automated access, aggregation and data transfer of individual EMR, claims and connected device data with, and in between, the iBlueButton and TENSIO mobile health platforms. The demo will show the ways mobile solutions empower patients for optimum care coordination and personalized chronic care management.
Humetrix is also participating at this month’s Digital Health Technology Expo, produced by CTA and the FDA. Dr. Bettina Experton, CEO of Humetrix, will participate in the panel entitled, How Consumer Tech is Advancing Healthcare.
“Healthcare consumers hold more power than ever before,” said Dr. Bettina Experton, CEO of Humetrix. “Converging trends – from ubiquitous mobile technology to a greater awareness and proactive approach to managing chronic disease and assessing the value of the healthcare they receive – have changed the patient-provider and patient-payor relationship. With powerful mobile tools, consumers can take an active part in their own care, improving outcomes and cutting costs.”
Humetrix mHealth Platforms
iBlueButton allows millions of healthcare consumers and their caregivers to receive, annotate, store and share their claim or EMR data, while keeping the data secure and under the patient’s direct control on their own device. Because of Humetrix’s unique approach, the company’s mobile platforms have been chosen by U.S. and European public and private healthcare organizations for care coordination, chronic care management and personal safety.
TENSIO is a chronic care management platform applied in its first instance to hypertension management. By integrating data from self-monitoring devices with the patient’s own medical record data and an onboard data analytics system for personal coaching, TENSIO uses a patient’s smartphone and Apple Watch to send personalized alerts and notifications so they better manage their home BP measurements, prescribed medications, dietary and exercise regimen. The platform also allows them to review their progress toward their blood pressure control, treatment and lifestyle related goals with their doctors.
SOS QR is an award-winning smartphone and Apple Watch application for emergency care and individual safety, designed to keep individuals safe wherever they are. A globalized mobile application, SOS QR runs on both Android and iOS phones and the Apple Watch for worldwide use. It is available in multiple languages: English, French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Portuguese. In addition to making key information – conditions, allergies and medications – available to any emergency responder in the local language, the application also features an “SOS Button” that users can easily press to alert their designated contacts with their GPS location in an emergency situation.
National Health Service England Test Beds Program
SOS QR and TENSIO, are part of the National Health Service (NHS) England Innovation Test Beds program which deploys patient facing technologies on a large regional scale with the goal of modernizing how the NHS delivers care. Five Test Bed sites were selected from 33 NHS regional applicants, including the Sheffield City Region where Humetrix is taking part as one of a few selected innovations among 220+ technology applicants.
