for Apple Watch, iOS and Android Devices at CES Asia 2015

Global App Keeps Anyone Safe When at Home or Traveling

Dr. Bettina Experton, CEO Humetrix, to Speak at CES Asia Panel What's New in Quantified Self? On Tuesday, May 26

Shanghai, China, May 25, 2015 - Now anyone can use their smartphone and Apple Watch to be prepared and stay safe during an emergency or when disaster strikes. At CES Asia (booth NC1C85) this week, Humetrix will demonstrate SOS QR, an emergency app for the Apple Watch, iOS and Android devices, now available in Mandarin Chinese as well as French, Spanish and English. SOS QR features include:.

Lets loved ones know you need help by pressing a single button on your phone;
If you can’t call for help yourself, emergency responders and doctors can get your health information quickly, and your loved ones are alerted that you are facing an emergency;
When you travel to other countries, your emergency information will be displayed in the language of the emergency responders accessing your record.

SOS QR includes support for medications, medical conditions and immunizations available in the U.S., French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese speaking countries.

“As you travel, SOS QR presents your record in different languages so you can protect yourself and be sure doctors can see your most important medical information in an emergency, no matter where you are,” said Dr. Bettina Experton, CEO of Humetrix. “SOS QR puts you in control of your own health in an emergency.”

Dr. Experton will participate as a panelist in the International CES Asia conference session, What's New in Quantified Self? on Tuesday, May 26 at 2:30 pm, Kerry Hotel, Level 3, Pudong Ballroom 3.

How SOS QR Works
SOS QR lets you easily enter your medical information and contact details for yourself and other members of your family. Once the emergency record is created, the app generates a QR code and a 4-digit password to unlock access to your emergency record after scanning of the QR code – which is always available on the lock screen of your iOS or Android phone or on your Apple Watch.

When you press the “SOS button" or the QR code is scanned, SOS QR automatically generates a text or email to the people you choose, which includes your name and a map to the location of the emergency.

SOS QR is free to download from Google Play or the iTunes App Store, with an "SOS Premium" in app-purchase of $9.99 for use of the SOS and OK buttons and the SMS and Email Auto-Alert with geo-location feature.
