iBlueButton® from Humetrix Puts Patients’ Medical Records in the Palms of Their Hands

Award-Winning App on Display this Week at International CES 2015

Las Vegas, January 5, 2015 - Imagine having all of your most important health information on your mobile device, every time you go to the doctor. With iBlueButton 7.0 from Humetrix, on display at the Digital Health Summit in Booth 72937, Sands Expo, at CES, patients can securely carry their medical history with them on their smartphone or tablet, allowing any clinician to instantly access their medications, current conditions, or provider names and contact information.

iBlueButton is available for iOS and Android devices, and allows patients and their caregivers to download their health records to their smartphone or tablet. With their records securely aggregated and stored on their own devices, patients can share them when they visit specialists, and check the accuracy of their medical record and insurance billing. By providing patients with their own health records, iBlueButton reduces the risk of medical errors and costly redundant tests resulting from an incomplete picture of the patient medical history. There is a one time $9.99 cost to download iBlueButton.

“Today’s consumer has the resources to become a more active participant in their own health care than ever before,” said Dr. Bettina Experton, Humetrix’s CEO. “iBlueButton arms patients, family caregivers and healthcare providers with an up to date history of every medical encounter, ensuring that everyone has all of the relevant information to ensure the best clinical outcome. By bringing this information with them, on their own device, patients can take control of their care and become the driver of their own medical team.”

With iBlueButton 7.0, Humetrix launches complete integration and interaction between its family of medical apps, including TENSIO, for managing high blood pressure, and SOS QR for emergency care and personal safety. Now, iOS users can auto-populate their information in any of the apps from current records in another Humetrix app.

Dr. Experton will be participating in the panel Is Data Your New Doc? as part of the Digital Health Summit at International CES, taking place on Wednesday, January 7 at 1:30 pm, Venetian Level 2, Bellini Ballroom.
