See iBlueButton, SOSQR and Tensio at Health 2.0
Santa Clara, October 5, 2015 – Advances in mobile health technologies have made us all smarter healthcare consumers. At Health 2.0 this week, Humetrix will demonstrate its suite of award-winning apps – iBlueButton, SOSQR and TENSIO – that allow consumers to become the central hub in their own caregiving team, by arming anyone with their own most important health data. Humetrix will be demonstrating all three of its applications at Booth #317. In addition, CEO Bettina Experton will demonstrate the TENSIO hypertension management app onstage as part of the New Technologies for Adherence and Lasting Behavior Change panel, taking place on Wednesday, October 7, (10:45 am, Ballroom E).
iBlueButton allows millions of Americans and their family caregivers to receive, update, store and share their health records, securely on their mobile phone. The company will announce additional deployments in other global markets in the coming months.
SOS QR makes it easy to alert emergency contacts of your location and need for help with the touch of a button. And when you can’t call for help yourself, the app makes it easy for EMTs, ER doctors, or Good Samaritans to immediately access your health information and send an automatic alert to your emergency contacts. SOS QR works in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese and provides automatic data translation so that users’ emergency information is displayed in the language of the emergency responder scanning their QR code as they travel around the world.
TENSIO is designed for anyone who wants to manage his or her high blood pressure. By integrating data from self-monitoring devices through Apple HealthKit with the patient’s own medical record data and an onboard expert system for personal coaching, TENSIO uses a patient’s iPhone and Apple Watch to guide them so they better manage their prescribed treatment, diet and exercise, and allows them to review their progress toward their blood pressure control goals with their doctors.
“When it comes to our health, knowledge truly is power,” said Dr. Bettina Experton, Humetrix’s CEO. “We’ve designed a suite of apps that all focus on providing patients and their caregiving team with the best information so they can make the right treatment decisions. At Humetrix, we believe very strongly that patients must be given the tools that empower them to direct their care and partner with their physicians to make the best healthcare choices.”
